For the busy person who thinks Tamagawa Onsen is pretty far. Yu-pon recommend Koubouno-yu in Izu-Nagaoka Onsen.
The owner of Koubouno-yu had the colon cancer which spreaded to the liver and lymph. He was declared to be dead in a half a year.
He thought that the Koubouno-yu ryokan was rebuilt as same as the bedrock bathing of Tamagawa Onsen, so he purchased 50 kg hokutolite and 30 tons of Bad Gastein stone .(Bad Gastein in Austria is famous for radium shaft treatment).
He has been taking bedrock bathing 3 times a day and have changed to live on vegetables for 5 years. Then he could have overcome cancer perfectly. There are 3 Koubouno-yu ryokans and they serve very economic room rate (for Touji guest price ).
If you have any interest in the bedrock bathing trial, Koubouno-yu is good for your trial on the budget. It is possible to make one day trip from Tokyo.
