Koka ninja house(Koka-ryu ninjutsu yashiki)
Koka ninja house is an extant and real ninja house. This precious house owned to Mochizuki family who was the ninja leader representing Koka 53 families. In this family,Koka Saburo who Mochizuki Izumo-no-kami(chief of Izumo-no-kuni),made Koka ninja famous through the Siege of Magari. His name spread across nationwide.
This house used to be surrounded by magnificent forest which blocked opponent’s view thus this house became a kind of a fortress which could not be attacked by a large number of enemy at one time. Looking into the inside of the Koka ninja house,various mechanism to protect ninja were built in this house.
If ninja had to escape to the roof space and as enemy chase him by coming up to the 2nd floor. But the height of 2nd floor’s being built so low that enemy had to crawl on the stomach. And ninja had escaped to 3rd floor of the roof space by that time. The opponent could be arrested by pulling the ladder at both end up and down or away. There is a pitfall behind the door from there when ninja was chased, the chaser might have fell down to the carpet full of bamboo spears. Also a loophole runs through the underground of this house to the escaping point 200 m away.
In addition, secret box for swords and trick windows for escaping were built in the each room. Yu-pon would like to suggest you to check open space of the sliding door how thin they are and take a look at a step on the top of a pitfall’s wall. Yu-pon tried to slip through the open space of sliding door, but it was not possible because it was too narrow.
Yu-pon realized that ninja have an ability of disarticulating his own. That’s why ninja can pass through anywhere as long as he makes to enter hi head the way.
