Maniac(geek) place Nakanojo
Nakanojo Historical and Folklore Museum and ninja tombs

Nakanojo Town is located between Numata Castle and Ueda Castle, both of which were controlled by the Sanada family.
Due to its strategic importance, many Sanada ninjas lived in the area, gathering intelligence about the political situation and swiftly relaying it between the two castles.
What makes this place particularly rare is that many historical documents listing ninjas by their real names still exist. This is because most of the ninjas in Nakanojo came from the Ninshi —low-ranking samurai who served as spies.
The Nakanojo Historical and Folklore Museum is located behind the Hometown Exchange Center.
The museum repurposes a former primary school building constructed in the Meiji era.
A small section is dedicated to the Sanada family and their ninja heritage.
Although the exhibits may be quite modest in size, you’ll find nearby the tombs of two Sanada-affiliated ninjas: Karasawa Genba and Warita Shimōsa-no-kami Shigekatsu.

Karasawa Genba is famous for his exceptional standing jump ability (reportedly 1.6 meters) and is said to have inspired the legendary character Sarutobi Sasuke.
