The Gosho Aoyama Museum
Otaku for CONAN

Go to CONAN museum! (not only CONAN)
Hi, Detective Conan fans! A few years ago, Yu-pon visited the town museum dedicated to Gosho Aoyama, the author of Detective Conan.
Mr. Aoyama’s hometown is Hokuei Town, located at the western end of Tottori Prefecture in the San-in region. Hokuei Town is home to a museum dedicated to Aoyama’s manga collection, honoring the world-famous comic series Detective Conan and celebrating the legacy of this great manga artist. The museum building stands near the sea, close to National Route 9.
Dr. Agasa’s yellow Beetle is parked in front of the museum entrance. Inside the museum, Yu-pon saw many fans who had come all the way from Thailand.

Watch your head! The restroom signs featuring portraits of Conan and Ran Mouri(Rachel Moore) were super cute.
On the first floor, you can see objects related to characters from the story, as well as photographs showcasing Mr. Aoyama’s history. Moving further inside, there are exhibits explaining the tricks used in the story and equipment demonstrating how they work. Yu-pon was deeply impressed by it.
Also Yu-pon got to experience using the turbo-engine skateboard and bowtie-shaped voice changer, both created by Dr. Agasa. Yu-pon truly enjoyed the hour spent there, feeling as if they were living in a dream alongside Edogawa Conan, Ran Mouri, Kogoro Mouri, and other beloved characters—including YAIBA, of course, and let’s not forget KID(1412)!
It’s not easy to get there, but it’s absolutely worth the trip! Once you’re there, you’ll have an amazing time and feel the excitement!
